A couple of cool announcements.

First off, artists, ever wanted to draw for comics?  Then you'll want to hear about this!  Bluewater productions is holding a week long contest to design a character for The Iron King manga.  The character design they want you to come up with is IRONHORSE.  What does he look like?  We need your help to bring him to life.  There will be prizes for the best drawings.  And one lucky winner will have their Ironhorse featured in the Iron King manga.

Grand prize winner will be chosen by yours truly.  :)

Details about the contest here:  Bluewater contest for Ironhorse

Second, check out the newest cover concept for The Iron King manga issue #3.  Ash and Meghan cuteness!

Update: now in color!

I am swooning over this picture, I love it so much.  ^__^   If you like what you see, check out even more images at the Indigogo site.  And, if you're inclined, pledge something to the cause, and get cool stuff as a result.  We just have a few days left to make the goal.

Eternity Cure trailer + The Iron Traitor cover reveal

So two exciting things were revealed this week.

One, the uber creepy and fantastic trailer for THE ETERNITY CURE.  Follow the linkie to see it in all its dark, awesome glory.

The Eternity Cure trailer

And, the cover for book 2 in the Call of the Forgotten series was revealed as well.  Feast your eyes on this gorgeousness.  I give you: THE IRON TRAITOR.  Say hello to Keirran.

Some might say he looks a bit cold, even sinister.  Some might say he doesn't look like the gentle, easygoing prince of book 1.

I say he looks perfect.  Make of that what you will.  >:D

The the new series is about...

Well, the cat's out of the bag.

Remember a little while back I'd sold a new series to Harlequin Teen, only I couldn't tell anyone what it was about yet?  That it was top secret, and the only hint I could give was the story was a modern day fantasy with mythical creatures?

Apparently word has leaked.

The good news for you guys is now I get to announce what the new series will be about.  So, for everyone wondering what those mythical creatures are, today I am going to tell you.  Are you ready?

Manticores.

Yes, you heard right.  Manticores.  For those of you who don't know what a manticore is, check out the pic below.

Only maybe not so huge.  A manticore is a lion-like monster with a human face and a stinger tail.  They are fond of human flesh, and generally not nice.

Or are they just misunderstood?

My new story takes place in the modern day, when a girl goes to Greece for summer vacation and finds the world's last manticore.  He is an ancient creature who has learned to shapeshift into human form for protection, and has learned to evolve with the times.  For instance, he no longer eats humans.  Of course, they meet and fall in love, only to have their lives threatened with an ancestor of Hercules arrives to kill the manticore and settle an old grudge, and inevitably falls in love with the girl, too.  Thus setting up a love triangle that spans centuries.

So that is the premise for the new books.  I suppose its kind of a relief now, to finally let everyone know.  Tell me what you think of the new series in the comments, and as always, on this wonderful 1st day of the month....
