Super Sekrit Series: Clue #2

Well, it is Tuesday again.

And that means another hint for the Super Sekrit Series.  Remember, last week's clue was HANG TEN.  And we had guesses for everything from mermaids to surfers to Hawaiian kelpies.  Are any of these correct?

You'll have to wait and see.

Perhaps this week's hint will help unveil a little more.  Let's try it.  Clue #2 for the Super Sekrit Series is:

So, what do you think? Remember, we have 3 more clues until the big reveal on October 2nd, with each clue getting a little more obvious.  Can you guess what the series is about before the end?  Let me know in the comments!

Also join the discussion at Page Turner's blog and YA Interrobang, the two official Sekrit Series bloggers.  Hope you have fun guessing!

  1. Judging by this week's and last week's clue, I believe this novel deals with supernatural creatures in Hawaii who like to surf (or are at least sea creatures) and have their own secret organizations that could possibly try to preserve tropical/marine life in Hawaii or something with volcanoes. This is just a wild guess but I'm excited for next week's clue. :-)

  2. Vampire sharks that work for the secret fairy service and surf in their downtime XP

  3. Is it a SEKRIT organization? ...:3
Perhaps it's about a guy who lives in Hawaii or California. He's a surfer. He wipes out or something and gets saved by this secret underwater organization. Maybe it's not just one creature, but multiple- mermaids and selkies and whatnot. It could be interesting because in the pacific ocean, there's tons of plastic and stuff, so it could be a good 'green' novel...
I swear, if this is wrong, I might just take that idea for myself. :P

  4. Is there some underwater secret organization? Maybe the FBI is actually composed of mythical creatures?

  5. Maybe it's about a secret organization recruting especially talented surfers for a very specific mission? Like it's not about surfing exactly but an ability surfers are good at (balance or something else)?

Or maybe the surfer thing is all wrong and it's about a secret organization who has, well, 'hung ten' people and now the protagonist is out for revenge.

  13. There are words in the back of the image. I'm having trouble making them out- can anyone else?
Maybe we need to ignore the main words and focus on the background...
